Suggestion: Reduced list view for more items per scroll

I would like to suggest a feature that I liked in other products:
The ability to switch between a detailed view, and a reduced view that makes the list items as thin as possible while showing essential information, so that the process of getting an overview over many list items and finding one gets much more efficient.
