How to enable Scanner Functionality for PWA

Need to implement camera and microphone permissions to enable scanner functionality on a PWA. I tried several methods, but it is not working in the PWA. For example:

 if (this.platformService.isPWA() || this.platformService.isWeb()) {
      await this.requestWebPermissions(permissions);
}
.
 requestWebPermissions(){
 navigator.mediaDevices.getUserMedia(constraints);
}

How can we enable this scanner functionality for a PWA application?
