⚠️ Check for Windows Updates (CVE-2024-38063)

Recently, there has been another major security vulnerability in Windows regarding networking where an attacker can compromise a system without any user action if they are on the same network.

As a crucial step in maintaining your system's security, Microsoft has released cumulative updates labelled under 2024-08 to patch this vulnerability. If you're using Atlas, we strongly urge you to install these updates under the 'Windows Update' tab in Settings. You can check that it's installed by going into the 'Update History' of Windows Update afterwards.

These updates should not reduce performance or overwrite Atlas' changes.

Clarifications for the upcoming v0.5 update

• Anyone on v0.4 can upgrade on its release
  • People who aren't on v0.4 will have to reinstall Windows to get v0.5
  • For anyone on v0.4 currently having any problems, we have a list of workarounds for specific issues
• v0.5 aims to be the most thoroughly tested version of Atlas before release
• There will be significant rewrites of many, if not almost all, Atlas scripts
• It will contain many bug fixes and more customization
• There is currently no estimated time of release, but development is ongoing, and we'll keep you updated
