Unfortunately, I don't have a Windows machine on hand. Is there any fundamental reason why the Femto Bolt can't be upgraded on Linux? (I saw that the viewer there expects an *.img file, while the firmware download produced a .zip file.)

Thanks for this very versatile device, and great software support in all other regards. CC @zhonghong322
