Some articles inexplicably given NotA-Class, show up in table as "Other" #73

For more context, see the discussion on English Wikipedia

For an example, see the "Other" column at this version of the WikiProject Mammal table. It lists Pestivirus as Mid/NotAClass even though it clearly is listed under the Start-Class category.

I'm seeing this happen currently with WikiProject Schools, specifically with all of the articles we place in the Draft category, even after they get moved out of the Draft namespace to Main namespace as you can see currently with Arrillaga Musical College. I see the Draft category appearing in the summary tables correctly for other WikiProjects so is it something that I'm doing wrong or is it another manifestation of this issue?

While I'm here, would it also be possible to look into what would be involved in getting WikiWork statistics for the Schools project? I've recently been inspired to take a stab at Collaborations of the Month by participating in one at English Wikivoyage and would like to have as many metrics as possible in hand before I do.

@RogueScholar there was a discussion on English Wikipedia about this recently. The short answer is, Draft-Class is not a default classification for any WikiProject and has to be configured on a per project basis. Basically, you need to add the following to your main quality page:

{{ReleaseVersionParameters
 |extra1-title=Draft-Class
 |extra1-type=quality
 |extra1-category=Draft-Class school articles
 |extra1-ranking=10
}}

This should be merged with your existing ReleaseVersionParameters template (you should only have one instance of this).

Hope this helps!

@audiodude Is this bug report still valid? I can not see the bug described in the ticket any more in recent version of the table.

@kelson42 The current version of the table as of this writing does, in fact, have 3 articles being classified as Other. I assume that's the same issue.
