Uploaded files, changed some of the metadata, saved changes and tried to launch ziming but to no avail. I get ERROR: Failed to request archive but no explanation as to what went wrong.

I renamed the ticket but the root cause is most likely that the request button is not hidden when conditions are not met to request an archive (there's already one pending, mandatory metadata missing, no files)
