There is a few items we could address in the pvcscale workload to improve the process/flow of the workload. My suggestions are:

  • reduce number of piped greps here
  • only use OpenShift templates vs combined Ansible/OpenShift templating here
  • pod container names are fio (Should we name these something like pvcscale?)
  • remove debugging output from workload playbook
  • add jinja2 if statements to prevent duplicated serviceaccount statement
  • potentially adjust variable "plumbing" to match model of http/network/scale tests to reduce complexity of the workload script itself

This also needs to be fixed - https://github.com/openshift-scale/workloads/blob/master/workloads/templates/workload-pvcscale-script-cm.yml.j2#L336
