how to use a library like express-validator with middleware? i am using node18, there is an example middleware but node10 and depricated.

We need everyone to fill out the full issue template, whilst this seems obvious to you, there's so much detail and context missing from your issue, including what purpose express-validator serves for you, why you feel it's a hard requirement, and if you've considered any alternatives.

My eBook on OpenFaaS explains how templates work, how to customise them and make your own. It sounds like you may be best doing that.
