Zero touch provisioning

Amy Buck edited this page Apr 26, 2017 · 41 revisions

Zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) allows you to provision new switches or routers in your network automatically (without manual intervention) for quick deployment in large-scale environments. When you physically connect a switch or router to the network and boot it with a default factory configuration, it attempts to upgrade the software automatically and automatically install a configuration file from the network.

Features

  • Image and file system validation and standardization
  • Automated configuration file generation and application
  • Connectivity validation and topology based auto-provisioning
