[Bug] MPZ-qt6 not working #156
Comments
Thanks for the bugreport A wild guess: do you have qt6-multimedia-gstreamer installed? Or similarly named package. I don't have a fresh Arch installation right now to test it, unfortunately. The way QtMultimedia works with multimedia backends is always a guessing game - those shim packages between QtMultimedia and codecs/hardware not installed by default, not a dependency for anything, so I could easily miss it from the explicit dependencies |
I have installed it but nothing seems to work. |
After some struggle with Arch installation, I cannot reproduce the issue. Fresh installation, Arch with Gnome (using archinstall), makepkg -si offered |
I have reinstalled Arch again and it seems to work. But I continue to have some problems (that are also in qt5):
|
That's pretty bizarre. Does something similar happen to other Qt6 apps? Wayland maybe? b/c it reeks some wider problem. |
No idea. I am using Xorg (but perfectly could have been Wayland, it has given me some pain in the past...). I will let you know if finally it works... |
In Gnome Arch Linux mpz-qt6 is not working. It does not play any file. mpz works fine, but I would like mpz-qt6 to work well because it integrates better with my desktop (it is dark by default) while mpz is completely white, which is pretty annoying.
Thanks for this great piece of software.
