`ppxlib`'s Transition

We are following a multi-step plan to keep the PPX ecosystem up-to-date without coordinating with the compiler devs. You can find that plan's contents and its current status on our wiki page about it.

In October 2023, @pitag-ha gave a historic summary when giving space for feedback and objections to the community wrt the deprecation of ocaml-migrate-parsetree
In July 2021, @pitag-ha summarized the transition in detail and give an update on its state
In February 2021, @NathanReb announced the release of the ppxlib version containing the AST bump to 4.12 and explained our workflow of sending patch PRs to PPXs we'd break
In August 2020, @jeremiedimino announced the upcoming OMP2 release and pointed out what the next steps would be
In June 2020, @jeremiedimino explained how OMP2 would look like and what the OMP major release would imply

Dev meetings

We have frequent developer meetings. Since the beginning of 2023, they are monthly, every third Tuesday of the month at 6 pm CET. Everyone is welcome to join:
