Navigation/Bookmarking Issue

Hello --

One of our members has reported the following:

I’m seeing some weird stuff while trying to use bookmarks to navigate around.

Can you please let me know if this is an issue related to the site or something on his end?

While, I understand that it is not in their scope of URL, from a practical purpose, It seems like this is something that should be solved by whomever does own that portion of the URL space…?

Thank you for clarifying!

The link https://community.oasis-open.org/oasis/s/ is not a valid URL and is not controlled by us here at Higher Logic.
To get to the Oasis Open login page, you would need to go to https://community.oasis-open.org/oasis/s/login/ or to the community's home page https://groups.oasis-open.org/home and click the login button.

I would suggest deleting the bookmark and replacing it with the correct URL.

The link in your response is what I have bookmarked. I clicked on it just now and got this:

I suspect that the issue is, I am not logged in and so it is unable to perform a background call. If that’s the case, I assume that the desired behavior would be to redirect me to a login page or at least the homepage.

To help fill Bill in, I am looking for a bit more information about how you got to that page, https://community.oasis-open.org/oasis/s/ and where you clicked on within the site to get there. Once I can see the source for it, I can dive in a bit deeper and see what kind of issue has arisen and how to best approach a fix.

Hi Kelly!

When going to this link, nothing related to a Higher Logic based page appears in the code when inspecting to see what may be happening. In the navigation of your site (under "Edit Navigation" from the Admin Bar), where does this page appear or what button or link is being clicked by the user from your site to access this page?

When I login to your account, your home page is https://groups.oasis-open.org/home not community.oasis-open.org so there may be a disconnect there.
When testing https://community.oasis-open.org/ it brings you to your single sign on/login page which is located at https://community.oasis-open.org/oasis/s/login/
Is this what your user is trying to navigate to? The icon at the top of the page's tab indicates that this is connected to your salesforce integration.

Please let me know a bit more about how your user is getting to that link and I will be able to dive in further.

I believe it should check for that and send me to login page/Home, etc.

Could you please send a link to the page in which you are adding bookmarks and let me know where these are placed?
It looks like the way they are being created may not be following the correct syntax and I would love to take a look deeper into the issue.
