The current definition for cryostructure, while accurate, does not seem particularly helpful.

definition:
1: The structural characteristics of frozen earth materials.

I propose the following, based on the recent review paper by French and Shur

"Structures formed by the amount and distribution of ice in frozen sediment and rock, which can be used to indicate the processs of formation."
