MicroUSB is the standard for cell chargers now, it's rated for considerably more disconnect/reconnect events, cables are cheaper, and SMD connectors may be considerably cheaper at scale.

MicroUSB remains preferable, but I have not yet found a suitable connector.

9963531 uses MiniUSB.
