Round 1 of materials would ideally include:

  1. Slides for presentations
  2. Notebooks and other learning materials
  3. Exercises that students will be asked to do

Ideally, these will all be created in advance of filming anything. This is to ensure that all materials are complementary and that you do not, for example, later create a really great exercise for students to do that your lectures did not prepare them for.

Asynchronous Slides, uploaded to Github (10/12)

  • Use the "title slide" in the slide template to separate the modules
  • Use the "shield slide" for subsections
  • Include learning objectives at the beginning of the slides
  • Consider referencing the previous module in the beginning of the following module to provide continuity
  • Identify opportunities to "draw" on your slides to help the students follow along
  • If you are introducing many different approaches (such as ML modules), consider including a framework that helps the students understand when they might use supervised vs. unsupervised learning modules
