cabal-install has had support for so called scripts for some while now (cf. the docs, starting from "run supports running script files that use a certain format"). I wish ghcid could support them too. Currently, on a buggy script I get an infinite loop. For example:
Note, that although the docs says it's cabal run that supports the scripts, they are actually quite close to first-class citizens in cabal and can be cabal build and cabal repl (at least, in cabal 3.8).
