after being appalled at the sheer size of my first converted JavaScript file, I wanted to check if removing the comments could make the size any smaller. Unfortunately, it did.

You might want to make the program ignore any comments, as it doesn't make any sense to keep them if the JavaScript file is already obfuscated.
