when running dorado demux, I followed https://github.com/nanoporetech/dorado#classifying-existing-datasets. I was thus expecting the resulting bam files to have the kit name as the prefix.
However, they had the run ID as prefix, followed by the kit name.
I gathered the run ID from the report_*.md file of the run.
Maybe I have missed something but if this is the intended behavior, may I suggest to adjust the README.md accordingly? :)
Thank you!
Best wishes and stay safe,
Cedric

I would like to follow up on this. The appearance of this feature (run_id in the filename) was unexpected and has caused some problems with the analysis. Would it be possible for dorado demux to include the run_id in the file name as an option rather than the default behavior? Alternatively, could there be an option to disable this feature?
