Issue with an XRD texture of an Al alloy rolled sheet #2113
-
Hi Ralph and everybody. Now the corrected ones (same method as mentioned in #2111): And the PFs reconstructed from the ODFs are these: It appears that the central high intensity of the (111) and (220) poles are unreal. which also seems strange. I'm attaching the rw1 files and the script in a zip file. MTEX version is 5.1.1 running with Matlab R20117b. Thanks a lot in advance for helping. Martín Leonard |

Hi Martin, sorry for the delay. I was able to produce this one the main thing I changed, was to remove the outer rings of the XRD measurements as they are too heavily effect by defocusing, i.e. pfc(pfc.r.theta >= 70*degree) = []; I uploaded this example to https://mtex-toolbox.github.io/ExAlODFReconstruction.html PS: I made some more minor changes to the ODF reconstructor and PoleFigure object. Therefore, you will not be able to run the code unless you checkout the current developer branch of MTEX from Github. Nevertheless I would be grateful, if you could add some explanations to the site about the material, the measurement process, etc. You can edit this file here https://github.com/mtex-toolbox/examples/blob/master/ExODFReconstruction/ExAlODFReconstruction.m All then best, |
