Please make it so that we can cause damage to the player recorded from the mocap and Mocap's recorded player can also cause damage to us. This will make the mocap very amazing.

Not soon, most likely summer.

Would it be possible to add a knockback system along with this? For example, if you hit a recorded player, knockback as well as damage is applied. It could be toggle-able and the recording could continue at the position after the knockback is applied. Would be extremely useful for the kind of content I create.

This would be possible. I will probably add it, but it'll be disabled by default, as for many recording it would break them if they rely on player position (e.g. if the player places blocks or interacts with blocks or entities).

When will you launch version 1.4 of Mocap ? You said you will launch it in July.

I said most likely in the summer, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish it in the summer, I'll try to release it this year.

I know it takes a long time, but I promised a lot of features for 1.4 and until recently I worked on porting my other mod to 1.21.

I now noticed that there's an issue with players receiving damage (they only take damage once). I'll release a patch for this soon (probably this week). After releasing this patch there will be a few ways:

  1. You could use invite someone to help you with damaging recorded players.
  2. Summon some monster (without recording it) and give it effect like speed if you want to increase damage rate.
  3. Give recorded player some effect that would deal him damage, like poison.
  4. Download mod for binding commands and use /damage command.

If player you record takes damage during recording, it should also be visible in the playback. If it doesn't work, tell which exactly Minecraft and mod version you are using. If you're talking about taking damage from the player in the playback, then that's an issue for future versions.

Ok. I misunderstood you before. When it comes to damaging player as an entity check issue #27, as for damaging player in the playback I don't think it's currently possible, but I will add setting to change it in the 1.4.

I don't think it's possible without mods, but I don't know any that would allow for this

As I said I don't know any mod for this, and I don't know if such even exists.
