This issue is focusing to a long term strategy.
And I have no intention of making a strong opinion.
Recent Litecoin looks planning their original functions. Like MimbleWimble support.
Technically, I'm neutral about MW.
But there is a discussion point that tracking Litecoin is the best way.
In current use cases and compliance with Japanese law, it's a room for discussion to move the base branch to Bitcoin-core.
(Surely the chain shouldn't be linked to the real world's law. But this chain is mainly used in Japan.)
Currently our release target is 0.18.x based on Litecoin. I believe this plan was fixed.
This issue is for after-0.18.x.
