It would be nice to have a conda package for conda users.

I 100% agree.
The issue we have is that you cannot create a conda package that has non-conda (i.e. pip-only) dependencies.
Some of this is being fixed as more Azure SDK libraries get added to either conda-forge or the microsoft conda repo.
We still have a few dependencies that we don't control - splunk sdk, virustotal and a few others.
The only way around this is for us to create conda packages for these repos in the conda-forge feedstore but I'm not sure I want to inherit owning these for a bunch of packages that I don't control.

Would it be an idea to create a conda package that contains what's available in conda, then the user installs pip-only packages?
