How to always place stairs facing the correct way.

So Im playing a modpack called better mc on a server with my friend. Its a forge modpack, so i cant install litematica. I found a forge ported version called "forgematica" and it works fine, but during easyplace mode stairs arent facing the correct way. I did some research and found out I need other mods like carpet to have it work on a server, but all those are fabric only mods. Found a similar forge mod called "curtain" however I dont think it works at all. Help pls
