I noticed a couple of days ago, that if I use iTerm.app, quitting vis results in base16 colors mismatching, besides TERM=xterm-256color and matching colors for the terminal.
Please see the screenshots attached:
iTerm.app
If I use Terminal.app, lauching and quitting vis doesn't result in colors mismatching, but that is somehow expected, according to https://github.com/chriskempson/base16-shell/blob/master/README.md#Troubleshooting Terminal.app can't display colours 17 to 21 properly. Only launching neomutt (using a base16 theme) colors have been somehow reset.
Terminal.app
I'm not sure, if I'm right here, or if I should drop a bug report over at iTerm.app / neomutt / Apple directly...
Best wishes.
Steps to reproduce
$ vis-editor
:q
vis version (vis -v)
vis 0.9 +curses +lua +tre
Terminal name/version
iTerm2 Build 3.5.10 / Terminal Version 2.14 (455)
$TERM environment variable
xterm-256color
