The integration is based on API provided by TECH which supports following controllers:

  • L-7
  • L-8
  • WiFi 8S
  • ST-8S WiFi

Unfortunately, I own only L-8 controller based on which it was developed and tested. Therefore please report in the comments below if this integration works with your controller and what version. Once you add the integration and passes authentication, the controller type and version should be displayed on integration card, like example below:

ha-tech-2

Thank you for your support!
Mariusz

I think that more important than Heating Controller L-9r (v1.0.2) is managing panel M-9 (v1.0.12)
I have second heating controller on 2nd floor but it's hard to get there, so I will check version during next service.

If you add controller to HA via this integration you should have see firmare version on the integration card in brackets, like in screenshot in first post. Hope this will save you from going to second floor ;)

tech cs-i-3 does not work, home assistant shows no clear errors - there are no entities read out of the remodel portal. What would be the way to troubleshoot it, to help you with coding and adding additional devices such as the i3. Thanks

I think this may be useful for future users:

I have Tech I-2 for installation and and 8S mini for heating control in rooms. Both connected to eModul.eu After first (and second) installation extention raported "I-2 vxxx" and not showed any entions.
I tried to change default module to 8S mini (in eModule) , and reinstall addon, but widthout any results.
Finally i found the way: In case like this user should remove I-2 before installation addon. Now it works perfect. Thanks a lot for this code!!!!

Hi,
Some months ago it was working here, but after a new setup of Home Assistant, i can’t get it working again. When I Add the Tech controleurs
3E69F7FC-FB46-4364-A511-BA61AB5320E0
and enter my email and password I get the message “succes” and see in the screen the controller “TECH: M-9r (v.1.1.11). But I don’t get any services and entities.

M-9r (v.1.1.11)

I did remove the controller in eModule, and then I did registrate the controller again. After that I did wait until the controller was synchronised with eModule. Then add Tech-Controller in Home Assistant and with few minutes I did get entities. :)

Hi Zetbees,

I saw your post and that you have the same problem as that I did have.
The thing I did do, is remove the controller on the website of eModule.eu (or .pl). After the controller is removed, I did register is again to connect to the eModule website and app.

After that is was working for me.

Hope this will work for you.

Hi GertjanNL,

By the way, it should not be on this topic, but i have a M-9r touchscreen panel and in the beginning i had some trouble to get it connected to the WiFi system i have. After even trying if with a cheap router witch where it did worked, i did discover that this M-9r touchscreen panel haves some problem with WiFi channel 6. On my main system it works great on channel 1 and 11, only the panel don’t work on channel 6.

So if anyone haves some problem with connecting to WiFi, Try a different channel on the router.

This may be a basic question, but I downloaded the files, put them into my custome components folder, restarted my raspberry 3 times - but the integration does not show up in the search field, so I am unable to add it.

Any thoughts or ideas why this may be?

Good morning Forg1vr,

Probably you need to add one or two lines of code to the Tech Api. There is a post about this.

In some HomeAssistant versions ago there was a change and a extra line as "version" was. needed. I don't know if the api programmer already did add it. It is not difficult to change it. Just edit the manifest file (/config/custom_components/tech/manifest.json) and keep it as how it is in the above link.

Also be sure that all files are in the map "tech"

After that, reboot HomeAssistant.

Greetings, Martijn

Super! That worked.

For everybody else stumbling across this, simply add this line to the manifest file:
"version": "1.0.0",

You can of course use any version number you like.

Hi. I've checed twice and I have dev branch installed. My issue: no cooling option visible. Curently I have switched whole installation in to cooling mode. In HA it's still visible as heating, cooling option is not visible. I can confirm that other features, like setting and displaying temperatures, working well. When setted in HA after 5-6 sec. change is visible in emodul application and vice versa. (L-X WiFi)

Hi, I've also tested the software. I currently have two L4 WIFI v.1.1.10 controllers in my environment.
However, the data from both controllers is downloaded with errors.

  1. in the case of the same controllers, the zones from the first overlap with the second and are omitted during import. Both controllers support 8 heating zones each. I, at my place have configured 4 on one controller and 3 on the other. In the configuration of controllers they are assigned respectively from: the first - zone 1, 2 , 3,4 and on the second controller - 1, 2 , 3.
This causes confusion when importing because everything is lumped into one "bag", but they are different controllers and different heating zones.

A little off topic. Is there a module that makes direct communication over ethernet possible? I have now a display (M-9R) that connect with WiFi to the Internet, and with this app and HA I regulate temperatures with presence and so.
The thing is that with bad weather like heavy rain or some snowing. My Internet connection is unstable and I lose then contact between HA and the heating system.

So, is there a way to communicate in a direct way without the Internet with the M-9R, or with a different module?

Hi, I'm using an ST-340 V2 connected to a Wanas Recuperator. It's possible to read some sensors like:

Bypass (only state)
Additional Temp sensor (only state)
Party Mode (only detection, no triggering possible)
Room temp (only state)
Intake temp (only state)
Outflow temp (only state)
Outside temp (only state)
Seven txtld sensors (not working, showing "0")

Unfortunately, no control is possible. It would be great to have the ability to turn on/off the device as a first step. Afterwards, control for bypass and the power.
Chiller (Cooling) / Heating On/Off would be beneficial.

Temperature setting is possible only at the Wanas Programmer, not even on the Tech Controller, so I don't think I can ask for that. :)

Thanks for this whats already possible
