Design Simple & Quick Individual Projects

Needs:

• Doable in 30-60 minutes.
• Project uses cross stitch or embroidery.
• Each person can take home their project.
• Introduction to basic needlework stitches.
• Preparation for a larger group project that takes up the rest of the session.

Project: State

• Create templates
• Write up instructions, stitch guide, resources

#4 - Fictional Maps (books, video games, etc.)

• Personal Maps (bike routes)

I want to make a map of all the roads I have biked in LA (that I remember). Could I do one like that?! I have never crafted!

California state outline:

Fill in your embroidery with features:

• favorite cities
• favorite landmarks
• mountains

Printing to a 4" height will fit within a 6" embroidery hoop for easy embroidery without having to adjust the fabric.

California, as traced from a template (I'll need to smooth out the coastline so it's easier to embroider), and then a work-in-progress of it being embroidered.
