[BUG]: Search bar in dock no longer accepts input #3

I have checked the other reports for my issue.
I have checked to make sure that this bug is not because of an upstream dependency.

Describe the bug
the search bar in the dock can be opened, but text cannot be input.

To Reproduce

launch the init script in the scripts folder
click on the search icon in the dock
attempt to type in the revealed field

Expected behavior
you are able to type in the revealed field.

Desktop (please complete the following information):
bingle version N/A, running arch linux VM with GNOME
Additional context
