In the Charts Module in the dashboards use "Export to png" to export the image

Expected: The chart title and footer export along with the chart.

Actually: 3. The chart title is omitted from the export.

@broncha Anything we can easily do?

What we are doing right now is, convert the chart to svg and then convert that svg to png.

For the png to include the header and footer, we will require the svg to have them OR we need to implement a different mechanism to export to png.

What we could do is, have text nodes for the header and footer in svg, and export that to png. But that would also require the translation of the generated nodes in the svg. Also if the header and footer are formatted, it would not work,

This was brought up again by Strathclyde. How difficult would it be to have a different mechanism for png export?

Are the options from 2017 still the relevant ones?

Yes, how we export charts hasn't changed

Then can we try your suggestion on the text nodes in SVG and then export to PNG?

That seems like the only option. Formatting may not be the same as it is in the visualization.
