auth sessions: expirations

hey, i'm trying to follow the script you have in the repo:

		const currentTime = new Date().getTime()
		const sessionDuration = 1000 * 60 * 60 * 8;
		const activeExpires = currentTime + sessionDuration;
		const idleDuration = 1000 * 60 * 60 * 24;
		const idleExpires = activeExpires + idleDuration;
		const session = await auth.createSession({
			userId: user.userId,
			attributes: {
				active_expires: activeExpires,
				idle_expires: idleExpires
			}
		});
		console.log(session.activePeriodExpiresAt)
		console.log(session.idlePeriodExpiresAt)

but i keep getting the same response no matter what:

Wed Aug 23 2023 09:17:29 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time)
Wed Sep 06 2023 09:17:29 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time)

the time will change depending on when i made the call but it's always the same difference between the two.
