Summary

I have a reasonable applied knowledge of EML (Ecological Metadata Language), but I think it'd be beneficial to my work with working groups (especially those at the end of their funding) if I formalized that knowledge. While waiting for the new groups to really get started this seems like a good use of time.

Starting Tasks

  • Ping EDI team for any resources on EML that they recommend
  • Read through EML ebook (eml.ecoinformatics.org)
    • Colin Smith recommended chapters 5-7 in particular
  • Consider creating a SciComp resource (for WGs) summarizing any key facets
