Feature request: make the measure of interest configurable

For a number of applications looking at the differences between population means is the right choice, but sometimes other measures like Wilcoxon ranksum/Mann-Whitney-U might be better suited. So making the "measure of interest" configurable (e.g. "meandifference", "ranksum", 't-stat", ...) might be helpful.
