Issue with the eraser feature

Hi team, I am experiencing an odd behavior using the eraser. Once I set the eraser mode then I can not select the text mode, because it keeps deleting other objects (is like the eraser feature is still on)

I am having the same issue.

I also had the same issue and found I had to set the editor mode to circle/rect and then to the required mode to solve the issue, essentially setting the mode twice once after the other in an async function with await.
