When running the "game" on default RetroArch settings, the video output renders the images earlier than it should on real hardware. This is especially noticeable when Thresher yells "take your damn clothes off" at Jane in a certain event, the opening sequence when John gets a phone call from his mother, and when Larry appears to berate the player.
This does not happen on real hardware, as demonstrated on several YouTube play-thrus, and I am unsure of any workarounds

When the game is running FMV, it's perfect. No issues in playing the file, audio and video are perfectly in sync. The issues occur within the image slideshows exclusively.
From the looks of it, the slideshows and the audio accompanying them aren't synced correctly. The slideshows will run at a faster rate than the audio, and will finish before the audio clip has a chance to fully play. It's super-noticeable the longer the clip goes on, as the audio cuts off in awkward places before moving to the next decision screen.
