This is a LEAP Data and Computation Team weekly standup 🎉🎉🎉!
This is a way to share feedback from the past cycle, set goals for the next work cycle and coordinate work with others in the group.

Each member should aim to put down 2-3 goals going into the meeting. We then try to discuss how to best align activities around the group to facilitate collaboration as much as possible.

Expecting responses from all members of @leap-stc/data-and-compute.

Copy and paste the template below, and answer questions as you wish!

Thanks I'd like to give 🙌

  • Massive thanks to @norlandrhagen for hacking on virtual zarr refs for CMIP6 🙏
  • Thanks for all the work on the catalog @andersy005

Cycle Review 🔎

  • I consider Add rclone copy stage leap-data-management-utils#60 working but want to wait for the test with the CHIRPS datasets until merging
  • Ingested a bunch of HighRes MIP data (going on).
  • Set up conrad with a new dataset for his class (hopefully will be public soon).
  • Rebased docs on versioned pythia workflow
  • Freeing up space on leap-persistent by moving stuff to the OSN pod is moving ahead, but hitting some weird issues with gh action based workflow. Considering setting up a bare VM on google with rclone image?

My goals for the two upcoming weeks 💪

  • Survive ESGF meeting
  • Maybe transfer more data

Questions for the group ❓

  • Test the rclone copy stage above for other feedstocks?
  • Chirps Dataset is stuck with this weird rate limiting error anyone have ideas how to work around?

My availability for this week 🗓

  • CMIP UK conference all week
