I was just curious if there was a way to get the cluster information. Basic things like the name, endpoint address / url.

you can get the url from the Config (which you can later use to make a Client) and that will work out-of-cluster and in cluster

for cluster name and more specific things you need the Kubeconfig which is only available out-of-cluster
