About 15-button with 3-knob keyboard, in wireless mode #102
Comments
hello, I have the same issue with the same keyboard. (Sold as upgraded version) |
Sadly, I don't have this keypad model. If you are technically skilled enough, you can sniff commands sent by original software using WireShark and USB plugin. |
@kanuay what would be the original program ? I'd like to workaround too as I have exactly the same problem now, which doesnt occurr always, still trying to reproduce |
Apologies for the delayed reply. @constLiakos Yes, I have this exact model, marketed as the "2024 upgraded" version. Hopefully, we'll see support for it in the future. Thank you @kriomant for the ch57x-keyboard-tool and your guidance. I might try developing the software myself once I've built up the necessary skills. @gcristian I downloaded the "original" software (which is probably from the keyboard vendor) from this link https://sikaicase.com/blogs/support/setting-for-software by selecting "The Newest Software." They now have a "Sep 2024" version which I haven't tested yet. |
I try using ch57x-keyboard-tool with a 15-button 3-knob keyboard. It works, but it seems that the settings only apply to wired mode. When disconnecting the cable to use it in wireless mode, the settings for each button change (back) to those set by the original program.
So, I have to work around this by, after binding keys with ch57x-keyboard-tool, opening the original program >> pressing "reading device" then modifying at least one button’s value (which can be the same as before) >> clicking "download" again. This way, I can use the settings configured with ch57x-keyboard-tool in all mode. (wired/wireless)
Thank you.
P.S. I’m not sure if this issue is due to the keyboard model not being officially supported yet, or if I might have made some mistake.
