Thank you for opening this issue. Have you happened to encounter an add-on
which does NOT require a restart in order to enable it after installation?
If yes, please share the name of the add-on so I could see how to make it
possible for this add-on to be enabled without restart :)
Otherwise, I am not sure if it is the best idea to require add-ons to make
this notice as this is the general installation procedure (and would be
quite repetitive), however, I will add this to the description when
releasing the next version. If indeed, (as I remember it) every add-on
requires Anki restart, maybe instead Anki should display a prompt to
restart the program after add-on installation?

People are just going to skim through those descriptions. Making the text too long with general mumbo jumbo would encourage such behavior. So it should be Anki or Ankiweb that displays the info. |
