when i initially looked at Seq++ it wasn't until i looked at the manual to even know that other modes existed, or how to toggle between them, i think it would help new users to have the modes more easily accessible, either from the context menu or a toggle button on the interface.

I'm not sure what you are referring to. setting the modes? It is of course the very first thing you see when you select an xform that requires a mode. Other than that I don't know of any "modes" in Seq++?
s, p, d: Set note attribute to be edited (Start time, Pitch, and Duration). The current mode is always displayed in the status area above the note grid.
oh, ok. Well, it's up to @kockie69 as far as new features. My distant take on it is that there are so many keyboard commands it would be hopeless to try and put them all in a context menu, but possible.
