Flashing firmware on my Whitefox renders the keyboard unusable #93
Comments
Same issue here. @WhoLovesOrangeSoda , you can use https://configurator.input.club/alpha/?layout=WhiteFox-TrueFoxBlank for now. It seems to work for me |
I can confirm the same issues with my Whitefox batch one, Jack of All Trades board as well. Thanks for the link @sawman |
Same here. Second batch Whitefox Aria works with https://configurator.input.club/alpha/ and fails with https://input.club/configurator/ |
Mostly likely related to #95 easiest work around is simply to recreate the layout until that is fixed. |
Hi, I'm having a similar issue. I downloaded a configuration from input.club/configurator-whitefox/ that included the LED keys and my keyboard flashed fine. However, when I tried downloading another configuration from the same site, every time I try to flash and install the configuration I get this error: I tried the above recommendation of using https://configurator.input.club/alpha/?layout=WhiteFox-TrueFoxBlank , but the same issue persists. It looks like the "Error during download" message is the key. Any tips? I've been stuck on this for hours :( |
I used the following and it help to work for me: |
I didn't use the alpha link from above, but I got this link from an Input Club developer. I used it and it works. https://configurator.input.club/lts/ It's frustrating how this is still an issue. |
I've been using my Whitefox for about a year now with no issues in Windows 10. I've followed the instructions to flash the firmware and everything worked as usual.
But recently I wanted add ~ key to one of my layers. I hit the flash firmware button under my keyboard. The LED turns on as expected, showing it is ready for firmware upload. I opened up the kii-dfu.exe and detect my device no problem. I flash the .bin layout file with a success message, but I can't use my keyboard anymore.
So it turns out there is an issue with the firmware versions from the Configurator website. Thank god, I saved my .bin file from my first flash. Because when I download the "latest" or "lts" layout firmware from their website it messed up my Whitefox completely. Using "Latest" makes my Whitefox unusable. Using "lts" makes me keyboard work, but you CANNOT toggle LEDs or any layers.
Does anyone know the solution to this issue?
