We should validate that ontology id fields are prefixed with a standard string denoting the ontology from which they came. These should be validated in the schema and/or the model level. The current set of prefixes are defined as follows:

  • HP: for HPO
  • NCIT: for NCIt
  • MONDO: for MONDO
  • SNOMEDCT: for SNOMED
  • ICD10: for ICD 10
  • UBERON: for Uberon

Note that each is delimited with a colon :
