I recently upgraded firefox, and found vertical tabs wasn't working properly - so I installed vertical tabs simplified. That fixed several problems (such as not being able to close some tabs at all) - but the icon showing which tabs are playing audio only shows up if it's a tab I'm currently on. If the audio/video is on a different tab than the one I'm currently viewing, it's not showing up. It would be INCREDIBLY useful to have that, and I got the impression that it should show up on any tab with active audio/video.
Similarly, the "x" to close a tab won't show up when I hover over a tab. It will only appear if I'm currently viewing that specific tab. The only way I'm able to close a tab I'm not currently on is to right click-"close tab." I very much hope someone can fix this so it works like it used to with the "x" showing up on any tab as you hover your mouse over that side of the tab.
I'm using firefox 43, windows 7 home premium.
