Cloud polling interval max 60 minutes?

First of all: thanks for this great integration!

When I configure the polling interval it won't allow a higher number than 60 minutes. That's still 24 polls a day out of a scarce 200.

I use the integration only to run a thermostat script for heating, based on my Netatmo temperature sensor that's in the middle of the house, because that's much more accurate than Daikins' internal sensors.

I use the integration only to give the AC commands, not to read out any data.

I would like to set the polling interval at a much higher number, like 240 minutes, or not even polling for data at all. Is that in some way possible?

Be aware that when you set a sensor to a value which is the same as the cached local value no call to daikin will be made.

Oh that's really annoying, I didn't know that. So de facto everything counts double, because in order to change a value I first have to request Daikin to return the value that I sent earlier?

So in reality I can only send 100 commands a day?

When you use the polling the local cached value will be updated on that schedule. I will increase the max value tomorrow, hopefully daikin adds support for a push model to their api soon

That's great, at least during the night I can then increase the value.

And thanks for warning me, I will update my thermostat script in such a way that after sending a command it first waits for the local cached value to be updated before it continues, to prevent it from getting stuck in case a call is missed.

One more question: is there any way to use the numeric value of the cached local value of the set temperature in a script?

edit:
Looking at the code it seems (if I understand it correctly) that as long as the call to Daikin was successful, the local cached value of the set temperature is immediately updated (and not only after a regular poll).
