Problem

Today, the /learn command is constrained by the file types it supports. It would be great to be able to add custom file handlers to extend what the /learn command can actually learn.

Proposed Solution

The ability to create custom slash command works great so I'm wondering if the same could be possible for custom file types.

Thanks

This is related to Issue #406 also. We have added new file type handlers in the last few months, so the list now is:
SUPPORTED_EXTS = { ".py", ".md", ".R", ".Rmd", ".jl", ".sh", ".ipynb", ".js", ".ts", ".jsx", ".tsx", ".txt", ".html", ".pdf", ".tex",
@JasonWeill - maybe close #406 as this one supercedes it?

#406 is an enhancement to mention the supported file types in Jupyter AI (as configured without other extensions) in Jupyter AI's documentation. This enhancement concerns creating custom file handlers to handle additional file types. I think #406 can be delivered independently of this issue.
