Spring 2021

This release is for the Spring 2021 course.

What's New

• Updated to Python 3.8.
• Updated all packages to the most recent versions (or close).
• Added in-class/breakout exercises for most notebooks to reinforce concepts.
• Replaced the unmaintained nytimesarticle package with pynytimes (which is also nicer).
• Updated the preparing for the course instructions to reflect the current, slightly simpler plotly plugin installation.
• Updated course, scheduling, and administrative information for Spring 2021.

Note: The slides are attached in both Keynote and Powerpoint formats. I use the Keynote versions in class, and the Powerpoint versions are direct exports of those (for non-Mac users).

This release contains all of the material for the Spring 2020 course.

This release adds the content for week 7, and I will make an additional release that will complete the course materials.
