qd_dag is too strict about alpha.id #3

qd_dag currently only takes single-letter alpha.id. Generalize so that it can take alpha.ids like "AA" or "A0".

(The latter will be useful to account for when someone wants to make SWIGs for time-varying or compound treatments.)
