When everything's set up except for the mySQL database (whose setup is undocumented), Googulator at least logs into Google, but once the mySQL database is set up, it completely and utterly refuses to call onDone in onAuthenticated.

Could you give more details on what's going on? (like file names and line numbers where things are acting funky). I assume something is going wrong with:
/php/getUserData.php
Also when you have everything setup but the MySQL database you can go to the local instance running, log in with your google account (which you should configure to be the primary admin $PRIMARY_ADMIN_USER), then go to the admin tab and there is a reset database button which should reset it all.
Glad that fixed it. It is in the documentation just not in a good spot it
seems. Its mentioned in the overview but thats probably not a good
location. I'll add it to the step by step instructions for linux soon
