Plugin URLs on GitHub link to old wiki #3788
Comments
I just ran a quick script to update the GitHub homepage to point to e.g. http://plugins.jenkins.io/active-directory/ for any plugin where the GitHub homepage was either unset, set to https://jenkins-ci.org/, or set to a page on the old wiki. I did this only for plugins that were not archived in GitHub and whose SCM URL in the Update Center JSON started with https://github.com/jenkinsci/. A log of my actions is below. These actions having been taken, the only remaining GitHub homepages linking to the old wiki are for non-plugins, archived plugins, or plugins that no longer have a page like e.g. http://plugins.jenkins.io/active-directory/ because e.g. we stopped distributing them.

Very, very nice! I've wondered for a while why other plugin maintainers did not update the URL in the GitHub settings for their plugin. Your script has done it for them. Thanks very much! |
I improved my script to set the missing homepage on a few more plugins:

Summary
A number of plugins have a GitHub URL that links to the old wiki. This link should point to the new plugin site instead.
Reproduction steps
I just fixed https://github.com/jenkinsci/allure-plugin. Previously it was linking to the old wiki.
