Apologies is this is too dumb a question, but should anything good come from <syntaxdiagram> with --format=markdown?
I see some hits in the source for matching it in XSL, but I think it's likely the reason for several [xslt] ERROR: Unsupported AST node object errors. I'm not sure what I would expect in Markdown either.
