There is a unicode character in the file index.tex which prevents it from compiling (an asian end of sentence character). It needs to be replaced by an ascii full stop character.

(./index.tex (/usr/local/texlive/2019/texmf-dist/tex/latex/psnfss/t1pcr.fd)
