It depends on what you mean by "rebuild the app for linux". I don't have enough knowledge to help with building Ctrlr host for linux. But if Ctrlr for linux exists and can be built, I can consider exporting a plugin instance with it.

Also, have you tried some plugin hosts like Carla? As far as I remember, it was pretty good in terms of WinVST support. Haven't checked its progress in a while though.
